You have to see this. It’ll break your heart. It certainly does mine.
Only two days in, while in the midst of a major economic crisis, what does Obama do with our money? He uses it to kill babies in foreign countries. Hooray for change.

I’m not sure we actually pay for abortions. The Mexico City Rule removed government funding from non-profit “family planning” groups overseas which counselled about or promoted abortion. That’s why it was called the “gag rule” by opponents – they couldn’t get OUR TAX DOLLARS if they promoted abortion, as if they had a right to OUR TAX DOLLARS.
Regardless of whether we’re paying for the baby murderers directly or not, the net effect is that our tax dollars lead to these deaths.
We need to address the broader issue of how taxpayer dollars are given to non-profit groups like Planned Parenthood and ACORN. The organizations might be “non-profit”, but their managers are massively overpaid relative to their skill set and provide services according to their ideological perspective.
Non-profits are also sources of massive fraud. One non-profit in San Francisco had a director who used non-profit funds to refurbish her kitchen. She was fired. Her replacement used non-profit funds for a trip to Hawaii. Non-profit fraud is as great, if not greater, than Enron.
Enron screwed its stockholders. Non-profits screw YOU – the taxpayers who fund them.
Thanks for the comment, POW! I’m going to look into this issue a whole lot more, so I’ll let you know what I find out as to how much is actually going directly toward abortions, if any. But the point you bring up about non-profits is so true. I started a non-profit as a teenager and I was shocked at just how easy it was to set up. I’m not surprised at all when I hear about non-profit fraud, because it seems just far too easy to abuse that system. And unfortunately, just like with anything else, it ends up giving good non-profits a bad name.
But yeah, I agree with you about Planned Parenthood and ACORN. If faith-based non-profits are poo-pooed so much, how is it any less wrong for such non-profits to provide services based on their own ideological perspectives? Because hey, abortion sure seems like a religion to some people anymore…
That said, I’m proud to say I never got into accepting government grants for my non-profit or anything else like that. The whole idea of it just bugged me. If I couldn’t make my non-profit work without taking government money, then I considered that a shameful thing. Of course, my non-profit never really got much funding, because I got severely ill shortly after it was established as a 501(c)3, but still. Everyone I knew kept badgering me to get into government grants, but I never wanted to hear anything about it. It just seemed wrong. In the end, I was able to provide the little service I provided without the need for much funding, and I was prouder of my accomplishments because of it.
