For those of you out there who still may not understand the process by which the markets became involved in all these sub-prime mortgages, which became the catalyst for at least one aspect of the global financial crisis – or if you have friends who might still need a little help understanding it – I’ve found this remarkable video that does a pretty good job of just explaining the market side of the issue. (It certainly taught me a thing or two about the details.) It’s not so much about the political policies that led to this behavior, but simply how the market reacted to changes in policies. And hey, the video’s also just plain pretty to look at, so enjoy!
