Methinks he’s forgetting that the only real way to gain someone’s respect – real respect – is not to cower in front of a bully who will merely abuse you, but rather stand up to them, show real strength of conviction, and stand independent and free. No one will ever truly respect you when they know they can walk all over you. It’s the first thing any woman learns when they finally, truly understand what it means to be in a healthy relationship. You know what? It applies just as much to international relations as it does romantic relations.
The capitulation of our freedoms will never get the “international community” to “like us more” or “respect us more”. It’ll merely give our enemies the tools they need to win the ideological world war we’re currently embroiled in between Islamic extremist dictators and the free world. When someone considers you an Infidel who is absolutely deserving of death, there’s absolutely no way to gain their respect, besides just kneeling and offering them your neck. But that’s hardly a form of respect I think we should be aiming for, do you?
You want to know the real reason why the people – the people – of the Middle East don’t respect America right now? This is a perfect example: we’re partnering with EGYPT to curtail freedom of speech. When you get in bed with dictators, the world doesn’t look at you the same way in the morning. And it’s not good.
Thanks, Chuck, for explaining precisely why no one believes the Obama administration when they talk about ‘bipartisanship’. Just listen to what this man has to say, it’s unbelievably blunt!
That’s Democrat Senator Charles Schumer. Did you catch what he said? If not, here’s the transcript:
“I think President Obama has a pretty smart strategy. He is going to talk bipartisanship to the American people. But realizes until the Republican grassroots pushes their people over, if that ever happens, we are not going get change in the House or Senate.”
So he’s only going to talk about bipartisanship, but nothing’s going to “change” (i.e. they won’t get what they really want) until the Republicans just roll over, play dead, and let the Democrats get on with all that hopity-change they want to shove down our throats? Yeah, that sure sounds like bipartisanship to me! Cause nothing says ‘bipartisanship’ like just rolling over those you disagree with and doing whatever the hell you feel like doing.
Give me a break! But hey, you at least gotta give the man credit for actually saying it. Now why won’t more people wake up to what it is these guys are really doing? Yet again, they’re flat out saying what they’re going to do, and still too many people just keep on ignoring reality. It’s a shame that so many people are so hypnotized that we can’t even hear what they’re saying to us.
But beyond just the issue of bipartisanship, there’s the whole issue of ‘traditional values’. According to Chuck, that’s all over. In case you missed that as well, here’s the transcript:
“The Hard Right, which still believes when the federal government moves, chop off its hands; still believes in, you know, in ‘traditional values’ kind of arguments, and strong foreign policy. All that’s over!”
So, let’s go through this, shall we?
First: No more keeping the movements, scope, and range of the federal government in check. The federal government is now free to do whatever the hell it wants, regardless of what the opposition thinks (sound familiar? ‘Just roll over and play dead, that’s right, little citizens! If you know what’s best for you, you’ll just shut up in the name of bipartisanship! Hopity-Change!’)
Second: No more ‘traditional values’ (don’t forget to use the air quotes, people!). You know, all that outdated stuff like ‘Do unto others as you’d have others do unto you’; no more of that true tolerance nonsense; no more of ‘loving thy neighbor as you love thyself’ (oh, sorry, is ‘thy’ just too outdated for you?); and most importantly, no more of those ideas about ‘We The People’! That stuff is so dusty and old it must be in the ‘traditional’ category, right?
Eesh, where’s Tevye when you need him?
Third: Last, but certainly not least, strong foreign policy? That went out with go-go boots and bad 80’s hair! The antonym of ’strong’ is ‘weak’, therefore, according to Chuck, nothing says ‘modernism’ like weak, lukewarm, panty-waisted foreign policy! (Sorry, even that’s an insult to women, cause most women I know would have a better grasp of foreign policy than this idiot.)
But you know what strikes me most about this particular observation of Mr. Schumer’s? I had no idea that strong foreign policy was such a partisan issue. I had absolutely no idea that only hard-core rightists believed in strong foreign policy! After all, didn’t Obama spend a whole helluva lot of time during the debates trying to convince us that he’d be just as strong on foreign policy as John McCain? Either that makes Obama a hard-core Republican, or he was just flat out lying and betraying his party’s stance on the necessity for weak foreign policy.
The funniest part is, though, I had no idea any of these issues were the exclusive property of hard-core Republicans. Traditional values? Belief in strong foreign policy? Even just the teensiest of belief in the idea that the scope of the federal government shouldn’t be completely unlimited! I’m not even a Republican, yet I believe in all three of those things! Silly me, I thought Democrats believed in them as well, at least to some degree. Shame on me for being so gullible, I suppose.
It kills me that such basic beliefs have been declared outdated, no longer relevant, as if they’re anathema to modern life. It seems to me that nothing good can come from a partisan war against traditional values as a whole. At least in the world I come from, I was raised to believe that ‘traditional values’ had nothing to do with strictly politics, and more to do with things like loving your neighbor and constantly striving to be a better, more honest, more caring human being. If Democrats are now proclaiming a death to such endeavors, then I believe we have more to fear than simply four years of policies we disagree with.
Keep your eyes peeled, your ears perked, and your mind open, everybody. This is dangerous territory we’re being led toward as a nation. History has shown us that when anyone tries to convince you that such values are outdated, no good can come from it. Especially when they couple that with mentions of ‘bipartisanship’ being nothing more than ‘talk’ to precede an absolute steam-rolling of those they disagree with, it’s an even surer sign that things could get very, very precarious. When debate is to be executed, moral convictions buried, it’s a sure sign that a civilization is being prepared for some very dark days and even darker deeds.
Thanks, Chuck, for at least being honest. Now please, realize just how horrible you’re sounding right about now. It might be time to take a good hard look at yourself, your party, and the people you claim to represent. Is this really what’s best for them, or what’s best for you?
As frustrating as the Obama administration is likely to be for the next four years, at least Joe Biden’s around to provide a little comic relief. Check out his latest gaffetastic adventure! It was pretty spectacular, even for him (which is really saying something.)
MAN, BIDEN IS A GAFFE WITH LEGS: during his meeting with Spain’s primer minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero in Chile yesterday, Biden thanked Zapatero for his effort… in Iraq (link in Spanish, haven’t found this detail in any English-language media).
As everybody knows, the first decision Zapatero made after his unexpected win in 2004, right after the Madrid train terrorist attacks, was to abruptly and unilaterally pull out from Iraq. So either Biden made a gaffe, or he was thanking Zapatero for angering Bush…
So either our Vice President is an absolute imbecile who has no freaking clue who our allies are in Iraq, or yeah, he was thanking the Prime Minister for giving Bush (and the people of Iraq, by the way) the proverbial finger. No matter which way you look at it, this just doesn’t look good for the VP, does it?
But at least it makes us giggle… *sigh*

Occidental Soapbox has put up another remarkable, enlightening, and impressive video on his blog, this time about Obama’s pitifully naive attempt at appeasing the tyrannical regime in Iran. As if learning how to pronounce their new year holiday and telling them how great ancient Persia’s culture is will distract Ahmadinejad from his goal of wiping Israel and the rest of us infidels off the face of the map… But of course, Occidental has an even better rebuttal than I can muster. So go check it out, you’ll be oh so glad you did. Maybe if we could all educate ourselves a little more about Iran, we could force an end to this plan of ‘Appeasement as Foreign Policy’ within the White House that has been going on for far too long and is apparently being continued all too readily by the Obama administration.
Today I sent a postcard to the British Embassy in Washington, DC to express my disgust at the behavior of President & Mrs. Obama during their Prime Minister’s recent visit to the White House. I meant to send this postcard earlier, but as I’m sure you’ve noticed thanks to the lack of posts lately, I haven’t been feeling so well and have been quite busy with doctors and such. But I figure, better late than never, right?
So in response to the Obama’s abominable behavior, I wanted to send my own apologies to the British people. As I’m sure you’ve heard, the Obamas were less than hospitable to our guests, the Prime Minister and his wife. If you still haven’t heard (which wouldn’t be surprising, since the MSM hasn’t even bothered to mention it), click “More” to learn about what transpired and to read the letter I sent today to the British Embassy.
This is an absolute must-read for everyone, considering that Israel stands on the brink of what many believe may be the beginning of World War III. Iran is hell-bent on destroying Israel, because of their belief that if they can destroy Israel and wage bloody chaos throughout the world, it will bring about the second coming of their Messiah. (That’s also why they’re trying so hard to get nuclear weapons, but the first stage of their mission involves obliterating Israel.)
One of the many battlefronts in this war on Israel is being waged at the UN. Aside than the battle that’s being fought with mortar shells and suicide bombers in the Gaza Strip, this battle is purely diplomatic and legal. The UN – led by a voting majority bloc made up of Iran, Pakistan, Libya, Cuba, and other third world countries – has been systematically trying to de-legitimize Israel, declaring that not only do the Jewish people have no right to self-determination and self-defense, but that most likely the Holocaust never happened, and that any and all criticism of Islam is not only racist, but criminal.
One of the first declarations of war in this diplomatic battle came about at the Durban Conference, held in Durban, South Africa, about a week before the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York. The entire purpose of this conference was to lay out a declaration that Israel was inherently a racist state, that it was denying the Palestinian people their homeland, and that by merely defending themselves, Israel was participating in nothing but prejudice and racism. In other words, unless the Jewish people were to simply lay down and die at the hands of the Palestinians, they’re automatically in the wrong.
The conference also laid the legal foundation to – as I mentioned above – criminalize all criticism of Islam, thus stifling any and all free speech which might lead to people realizing that hey, sometimes Islamists go off the deep and and, you know, try to kill innocent people that they’ve decided are “infidels” (and just so you know, anyone who isn’t a Muslim is an “infidel”, so that means you.)
Suffice it to say, Durban was a bit nasty, disgusting, extremist-Islamic-fueled tirade against Israel and the Jewish people in general. Now, I’m not Jewish, but when someone calls you a racist, degenerate bigot, simply for having the nerve to defend yourself, your family, and your home, I’m kinda thinking that’s the pot calling the kettle black. Anyone who claims that another race doesn’t have the right to self-defense is, um, gee, racist.
So in other words, the UN was sanctifying Islamic rage against the Jewish people, giving Iran in particular the diplomatic and legal foundation it requires to obliterate Israel – that first step in their plan to ultimately destroy all the infidels and bring back their Messiah. Fantastic, huh? I’m sure that’s just what the founders of the United Nations had in mind when they founded it in order to prevent the catastrophe that led to the death and destruction of hundreds of thousands of people at the hand of the Third Reich.
So what does this have to do with Obama? Well, the United States – a staunch ally of Israel, since we realize exactly what it is that Iran’s trying to do – boycotted the first Durban conference. So did many other countries.
Now, so many years later, Durban II is coming up in April. What’s the purpose of Durban II? To carry out the plans and policies laid out in the first Durban conference. In other words, take all those lovely bigoted ideas and plans they came up with at Durban I and make them a reality.
You’d think that since this was the declared and unavoidable purpose of Durban II – i.e. the absolute destruction of Israel – that the United States would again be boycotting the conference. But no, you’d be wrong.
Obama, in his infinite wisdom, has decided to spit in the face of Jewish people everywhere and attend the planning conferences in preparation of Durban II. A White House spokesman claims that they’re participating specifically to rectify all the anti-Israel aspects of the conference’s agenda, but since that’s pretty much all that conference is about, I kinda doubt that’s even possible. Especially given the fact that the United States is vastly out-numbered by the Islamic and Third World blocs, which hold a voting majority in the United Nations. Therefore, it’s flat out impossible for the White House to accomplish what they’re supposedly setting out to do.
Hey, who knows, maybe Obama believes that since he’s already the Messiah, no matter what Iran does it won’t matter. Since we already have one Messiah gracing us with his presence, why would we have need of another one?
This issue is absolutely imperative to all of us, Jewish or otherwise, because this is literally the first step on the cusp of international war. This is Iran’s first move, the first volley in a battle plan that ultimately leads to the destruction of everyone on Earth, save for Allah’s chosen people. If Israel falls, we will all fall. And if we help them murder Israel, we will legitimize their efforts to murder us. We will have participated in an act of genocide, a genocide that will be our own downfall.
And Obama’s leading us there.
There’s a brilliant article out today that I really wish everyone would read. It’s a much better analysis of the significance of Obama’s participation in the conference than I could ever give. Believe me when I say this is crucial, and we absolutely must stand up before it’s too late. If Iran gains a stranglehold in Israel, it will make them that much more powerful and capable of going into Iraq, Afghanistan, and ultimately holding the entirety of the Middle East in the palm of its hand. That is precisely what they want, precisely what they’re aiming for, so that they can bring about the Armageddon that they believe is coming. This is insanity and we cannot let it move forward, and we sure as hell can’t become part and parcel of it.

This time around, Abraham is presenting us with a remarkable six-minute history of the Caliphate, the Muslim Brotherhood, and how it all relates to the conflict in Gaza. Miraculously he has managed to squeeze all this information into a six minute span. I highly recommend taking the time to check it out – if more people would dedicate just six minutes to learning about this, maybe we’d all have a better understanding of what it is we’re up against, what Israel is up against, and what we must do to better organize our efforts to eradicate extremism and reach true peace in the middle east.
As the war in Gaza rages on, it seems as if the antisemites of the world have been raging right along with it. From the talking heads on CNN who propagate false videos of fake atrocities, to politicians clamoring for the protection of a terrorist group, it seems everyone’s ganging up on Israel for daring to defend itself and its people. Who knew self defense was such a no-no. Apparently if you’re a Jew, you’re just supposed to sit there and take every ounce of abuse hurled at you.
I can’t believe how wrong our world has gotten. It’s amazing that in less than 100 years since the Holocaust, we’re repeating it, step for step. (We’re even back to arguing about Eugenics!) Antisemitism has become as rampant as it was in the 1930s. It’s commonplace, it’s the daily norm, and it’s wrapped up in so much politically correct leftist nonsense that sometimes it can even be hard to recognize for what it really is. But rest assured, antisemitism is still antisemitism, no matter how hard someone may try to disguise it. And it’s still wrong. I’m not even Jewish myself, but you don’t have to be Jewish to care about antisemitism, because it affects all of us, of every race, creed, color, nationality and faith.
A few weeks ago, my friend Joey sent me a wonderful mp3 of a speech given by Professor Anne Bayefsky, a human rights activist, Director of Touro College Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust, a Professor in the Department of Political Science at York University in Toronto, and Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute in New York. She’s also an expert on the United Nations. This particular speech was given at the request of the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission of Australia. It contains remarkable, mind-opening, earth shattering, eye watering information about the true intent, purpose, and history of the United Nations that I feel every American, every citizen of the world, absolutely has to hear.

The Demons of Gaza Only Hamas is to Blame for the War; Only the Palestinians Can Stop It

Israel hasn’t killed a single civilian in the Gaza Strip. Over a hundred civilians have died, and Israeli bombs or shells may have ended their lives.
But Israeli didn’t kill them.
Hamas did.
It’s time to smash the lies. The lies of Hamas. The UN lies. And the save-the-terrorists lies of the global media.
There is no moral equivalence between Hamas terrorists and Israeli soldiers.
There is no gray area. There is no point in negotiations.
Hamas is a Jew-killing machine. It exists to destroy Israel. What is there to negotiate? When Hamas can’t kill Jews, it’s perfectly willing to drive Palestinian civilians into the line of fire – old men, women and children. Hamas herds the innocent into “shelters,” then draws Israeli fire on them. And the headline-greedy media cheer them on.
Hamas isn’t fighting for political goals. “Brokered agreements” are purely means to an end. And the envisioned end is the complete destruction of Israel in the name of a terrorist god. Safe in hidden bunkers or in Damascus, the Hamas leadership is willing to watch an unlimited number of civilians and even street-level terrorists die.
Lives, too, are nothing but means to an end. And dead kids are the coins that keep the propaganda meter ticking.
All Hamas had to do to prevent Israel’s act of self-defense was to leave Israel unmolested by terror rockets. All Hamas needs to do now to stop this conflict and spare the Palestinian people it pretends to champion is to stop trying to kill Israelis and agree to let Israel exist in peace.
Hamas didn’t, and Hamas won’t.
Now Israel has to continue its attack, to wreak all the havoc it can on Hamas before a new American president starts meddling. If Israel stops now, Hamas can declare victory just for surviving – despite its crippling losses.
While it’s impossible to fully eliminate extremism, killing every terrorist leader hiding in a Gaza bunker is the only hope of achieving even a temporary, imperfect peace. The chance may not come again.
And don’t worry about “creating a power vacuum.” Let the Palestinians pick up their own pieces. Even anarchy in Gaza is better for Israel than Hamas. Israelis, Americans and Westerners overall share a tragic intellectual blind spot: We’re caught in yesterday’s model of terrorism, that of Arafat’s PLO, of the IRA, the Red Brigades or the Weather Underground. But, as brutal as those organizations could be, they never believed they were on a mission from God.
Yesteryear’s terrorists wanted to change the world. They were willing to shed blood and, in extreme cases, to give their own blood to their causes. But they didn’t seek death. They preferred to live to see their “better world.”
Now our civilization faces terrorists who regard death as a promotion. They believe that any action can be excused because they’re serving their god. And their core belief is that you and I, as stubborn unbelievers, deserve death.
Their grisly god knows no compromise. To give an inch is to betray their god’s trust entirely. Yet we – and even some Israelis – believe it’s possible to cut deals with them.
In search of peace, Israel handed Gaza to the Palestinians, a people who had never had a state of their own. As thanks, Israel received terror rockets.
And the Palestinian people got a gang war.
Peace is the last thing Hamas terrorists and gangsters want. Peace means the game is up. Peace means they’ve disappointed their god. Peace means no more excuses. They couldn’t bear peace for six months.
This is a war to the bitter end. And we’re afraid to admit what it’s about. It’s not about American sins or Israeli intransigence. It’s about a sickness in the soul of a civilization – of Middle-Eastern Islam – that can only be cured from within. Until Arabs or Iranians decide to cure themselves, we’ll
have to fight.
Instead, we want to talk. We convince ourselves, against all evidence, that our enemies really want to talk, too, that they just need “incentives” (the diplomat’s term for bribes). The apparent belief of our president-elect that it’s possible to negotiate with faith-fueled fanatics is so naive it’s
terrifying.
Yet, it’s understandable. Barack Obama’s entire career has been built on words, not deeds, on his power to persuade, not his power to deliver. But all the caucuses, debates, neighborhood meetings and backroom deal-making sessions in his past haven’t prepared him to “negotiate” with men whose single-minded goal is Israel’s destruction – and ours.
If Obama repeats the same “peace-process” folly as his predecessors, from Jimmy have-you-hugged-your-terrorist-today? Carter through Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, he’ll be devoured before he knows he’s been bitten.
How many administrations have to repeat the identical error of believing that, deep down inside, terrorists, gunmen and warlords really want peace every bit as much as we do? Israel’s enemies aren’t just looking to cut a sharp deal. They want to destroy Israel.
Which part of what they shout in our faces is so hard to understand? Israel’s foes have been preaching Jew-hatred for so long that even the “moderates” can’t turn back now.
And why does the global left hate Israel so? Why would they pull out the stops to rescue Hamas?
Because Israel exposed the lie that a suffering people can’t lift itself up through hard work, education and discipline. Israel didn’t need the help of a hundred condescending NGOs and their misery junkies.
Because the Holocaust is a permanent embarrassment to Europeans. They need to believe that Israelis are kosher Nazis.
Because, from the safety of cafes and campuses, it’s cool to call terrorists “freedom fighters.” It makes you feel less guilty when you hit up daddy (or the state) for money. I mean, dude, it’s not like you have to, like, live with them or anything, you know?

Because, above all, the most-destructive racists in the world today are mainstream leftists. Want the truth? The Left codes Israel as white and, therefore, inherently an oppressor. Israel is held to the highest standard of our civilization and our legal codes – and denied the right to self-defense.
But the Left tacitly believes that people with darker skins are inferior and can’t be expected to behave at a civilized level. Leftists expect terrorist movements or African dictators to behave horribly. It’s the post-modern, latte-sucking version of the “little brown brother” mentality.
The worst enemies of developing societies have been leftists who refuse to hold them to fundamental standards of governance and decency. But, then, the Left needs developing societies to fail to prove that the system’s hopelessly stacked against them.
A battered, impoverished, butchered people built a thriving Western democracy in an Eastern wasteland. Israel can never be forgiven for its success.
In this six-decade-old conflict that Israel’s intractable neighbors continue to force upon it, there not only are no good solutions, but, thanks to the zero-sum mentality of Islamist terrorists, there aren’t even any bad solutions – short of nuclear genocide – that would bring an enduring peace to the Middle East.
And even the elimination of Israel wouldn’t be enough. The terrorists would fight among themselves, while warring upon less-devout fellow Muslims.
All Israel can do is to fight for time and buy intervals of relative calm with the blood of its sons and daughters. By demanding premature cease-fires and insisting that we can find a diplomatic solution, we strengthen monsters and undercut our defenders.
And don’t believe the propaganda about this conflict rallying Gaza’s Palestinians behind Hamas. That’s more little-brown-brother condescension, assuming all Arabs are so stupid they don’t know who started this and who’s dragging it out at their expense.
Gaza’s people may not care much for Israelis, but they rue the day they cast their votes for Hamas. Hamas is killing them.

You have to see this clip of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg being interviewed by a total leftist Hamas shill “reporter”! I’m no fan of Bloomberg, but I think he does a remarkable job of answering this woman’s laughably idiotic and obviously slanted questions.
Listening to people like that woman from CNN, it’s easy to see just how Holocausts get started. It’s slow, it’s meandering, but when you start hearing such drastic attempts to bend over backwards to paint a nation as evil, simply for defending itself and its people from outright terrorism, you’ve got to know you’re on the eve of something truly terrible and truly wrong. When is this nation going to wake up to the antisemitism that’s running rampant throughout the Left?
I’ll have more on that later, but for now, just think about it. And remember, the last Holocaust didn’t happen overnight. It’s so easy to forget that, looking back with full 20/20 hindsight. With all the grand moments from that period of time, it’s easy to overlook the slow, simmering boil that led to the first shots being fired. But never forget, before the people of a nation could exterminate an entire race, they had to grow accustomed to the idea. People don’t become monsters overnight. First school children were taught to count tanks instead of apples in their textbooks. Humor turned from harmless to rampantly antisemitic. Whispers in back alleys turned into questions posed by national figures on the biggest stages. The biggest waterfalls begin with a single drop of water, so do atrocities begin with the smallest of wrongs.
I remind myself of this with an issue of Life magazine that I happened to find in a junk shop. It was from 1939. The US hadn’t joined the war yet, we were still on the outside looking in. At the time, we didn’t know the truth of the concentration camps, the horrors of the war in Europe. In this magazine, there’s an entire article talking about how remarkably progressive and respectable Adolf Hitler and his Nazi party are. It’s an interview with Hitler and his minions, discussing such progressive ideas as feminism, healthcare, science, religion, and eugenics (if you’re not familiar with that, please, look it up). It’s wholly congratulatory, it even goes so far as to encourage the American people to respect this “great man.” It is a brilliant piece of propaganda, sprinkled with the tiniest hints of antisemitism. It speaks of racial purity, but only in the kindest of ways. On the eve of the bloodiest of all wars, even Life magazine was singing Hitler’s praises, calling him a progressive leader worthy of emulating. It was just the very beginning of an overall attempt to familiarize the American public with a monster. You don’t welcome a monster into your home when it’s full grown and menacing. But when it’s small, minute, and disguised by obscured naivety, you open your door and welcome it inside, all the while never noticing what it is you’re nurturing at your hearth. Until it’s too late, and you’re a nation that’s bred an entire generation ready, willing, and proud, to murder in the name of what’s right, what’s good, and what’s honorable.
There has been enough of our own history to teach us how to recognize these infantile monsters, if only we’d open our eyes to see them.
