I’m starting to really like this guy!

I need to go see if I can find a copy of that book… I know I read it as a kid, but that’s far too long ago for my memory to keep track of.

I’d also recommend this video by Andrew Klavan, cause it made me giggle, and this one cause it’s oh so very true. Enjoy! :)

I don’t know anything about that guy, but I’d say he did a pretty darn good job of summing up “political correctness”, the ‘Fairness Doctrine’, and pretty much all the other Leftist attempts to get their way, no matter what the people or their laws have to say about it. Not all individual leftists, mind you, but the movement as a whole and where it’s heading today? Definitely.
So do me a favor, won’t you? Don’t shut up.

The American Form of Government

I’ve just found a truly remarkable video that I think should be required viewing for absolutely every single American. It explains, in clear, simply, understandable terms, precisely what type of government we have, how we came to have it, and how it compares to the other forms of government throughout history. And it explains all of this in only 10 minutes.
Please, please, I’m begging you, watch it right now! And please, send it to all of your friends and family! More of us desperately need to understand the true nature of our government, our republic.

CNN’s Bill Schneider: Totally Clueless or Totally Lying?

I want to thank my good friend Joey for sending this interesting little tid-bit to me. I’m going to show you two different media articles and I want you to tell me if you detect any media bias whatsoever. You might have to look carefully, you might not recognize it right away, but please, take a look, evaluate this very thoughtfully, and tell me if any sort of hidden agenda jumps out at you, okay?

Exhibit A: CNN’s Political Ticker is a sort of twitter for CNN journalists. I present Bill Schneider’s Political Ticker entry from 8:19PM on March 24, 2009, the night of President Obama’s press conference. It was posted while Bill Schneider was attending the very press conference he’s referring to, so yes, he was in the same exact room.
Click here to see Exhibit A.

Exhibit B: An article from Fox News. If you’re skeptical of Fox News, don’t worry, I’m not asking you trust what they wrote. Check it out, it’ll all make sense and you won’t have any doubts, I promise. Just see if what you see there jives with what Mr. Schneider had to say about his own experience at the press conference.
Click here to see Exhibit B.

Did you catch the disparity? Click “More” for my conclusions, because I just don’t want to spoil the surprise if you haven’t already figured it out.

From the Andrew Malcolm’s blog at the Los Angeles Times:

Obama White House Bars Press from Press Award Ceremony
by Andrew Malcolm

We are not making this up:

Barack Obama was elected commander in chief promising to run the most transparent presidential administration in American history.

This achievement and the overall promise of his historic administration caused the National Newspaper Publishers Assn. to name him “Newsmaker of the Year.”

The president is to receive the award from the federation of black community newspapers in a White House ceremony this afternoon.

The Obama White House has closed the press award ceremony to the press.

From the president’s official schedule:

“Later in the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will attend a reception with the National Newspaper Publisher Association in the State Dining Room, where they will be presented the Newsmaker of the Year award. This event is closed press.”

Maybe they’ll let the newspaper people pass the award through the fence.

This is an absolute must-read for everyone, considering that Israel stands on the brink of what many believe may be the beginning of World War III. Iran is hell-bent on destroying Israel, because of their belief that if they can destroy Israel and wage bloody chaos throughout the world, it will bring about the second coming of their Messiah. (That’s also why they’re trying so hard to get nuclear weapons, but the first stage of their mission involves obliterating Israel.)
One of the many battlefronts in this war on Israel is being waged at the UN. Aside than the battle that’s being fought with mortar shells and suicide bombers in the Gaza Strip, this battle is purely diplomatic and legal. The UN – led by a voting majority bloc made up of Iran, Pakistan, Libya, Cuba, and other third world countries – has been systematically trying to de-legitimize Israel, declaring that not only do the Jewish people have no right to self-determination and self-defense, but that most likely the Holocaust never happened, and that any and all criticism of Islam is not only racist, but criminal.
One of the first declarations of war in this diplomatic battle came about at the Durban Conference, held in Durban, South Africa, about a week before the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York. The entire purpose of this conference was to lay out a declaration that Israel was inherently a racist state, that it was denying the Palestinian people their homeland, and that by merely defending themselves, Israel was participating in nothing but prejudice and racism. In other words, unless the Jewish people were to simply lay down and die at the hands of the Palestinians, they’re automatically in the wrong.
The conference also laid the legal foundation to – as I mentioned above – criminalize all criticism of Islam, thus stifling any and all free speech which might lead to people realizing that hey, sometimes Islamists go off the deep and and, you know, try to kill innocent people that they’ve decided are “infidels” (and just so you know, anyone who isn’t a Muslim is an “infidel”, so that means you.)

Suffice it to say, Durban was a bit nasty, disgusting, extremist-Islamic-fueled tirade against Israel and the Jewish people in general. Now, I’m not Jewish, but when someone calls you a racist, degenerate bigot, simply for having the nerve to defend yourself, your family, and your home, I’m kinda thinking that’s the pot calling the kettle black. Anyone who claims that another race doesn’t have the right to self-defense is, um, gee, racist.
So in other words, the UN was sanctifying Islamic rage against the Jewish people, giving Iran in particular the diplomatic and legal foundation it requires to obliterate Israel – that first step in their plan to ultimately destroy all the infidels and bring back their Messiah. Fantastic, huh? I’m sure that’s just what the founders of the United Nations had in mind when they founded it in order to prevent the catastrophe that led to the death and destruction of hundreds of thousands of people at the hand of the Third Reich.

So what does this have to do with Obama? Well, the United States – a staunch ally of Israel, since we realize exactly what it is that Iran’s trying to do – boycotted the first Durban conference. So did many other countries.
Now, so many years later, Durban II is coming up in April. What’s the purpose of Durban II? To carry out the plans and policies laid out in the first Durban conference. In other words, take all those lovely bigoted ideas and plans they came up with at Durban I and make them a reality.

You’d think that since this was the declared and unavoidable purpose of Durban II – i.e. the absolute destruction of Israel – that the United States would again be boycotting the conference. But no, you’d be wrong.
Obama, in his infinite wisdom, has decided to spit in the face of Jewish people everywhere and attend the planning conferences in preparation of Durban II. A White House spokesman claims that they’re participating specifically to rectify all the anti-Israel aspects of the conference’s agenda, but since that’s pretty much all that conference is about, I kinda doubt that’s even possible. Especially given the fact that the United States is vastly out-numbered by the Islamic and Third World blocs, which hold a voting majority in the United Nations. Therefore, it’s flat out impossible for the White House to accomplish what they’re supposedly setting out to do.

Hey, who knows, maybe Obama believes that since he’s already the Messiah, no matter what Iran does it won’t matter. Since we already have one Messiah gracing us with his presence, why would we have need of another one?

This issue is absolutely imperative to all of us, Jewish or otherwise, because this is literally the first step on the cusp of international war. This is Iran’s first move, the first volley in a battle plan that ultimately leads to the destruction of everyone on Earth, save for Allah’s chosen people. If Israel falls, we will all fall. And if we help them murder Israel, we will legitimize their efforts to murder us. We will have participated in an act of genocide, a genocide that will be our own downfall.
And Obama’s leading us there.

There’s a brilliant article out today that I really wish everyone would read. It’s a much better analysis of the significance of Obama’s participation in the conference than I could ever give. Believe me when I say this is crucial, and we absolutely must stand up before it’s too late. If Iran gains a stranglehold in Israel, it will make them that much more powerful and capable of going into Iraq, Afghanistan, and ultimately holding the entirety of the Middle East in the palm of its hand. That is precisely what they want, precisely what they’re aiming for, so that they can bring about the Armageddon that they believe is coming. This is insanity and we cannot let it move forward, and we sure as hell can’t become part and parcel of it.
Please, check out the article and speak up, before it’s too late.

To Both Sides on Prop 8 in California

I never once took a side on Proposition 8 in California, or the other similar amendments in other states. Why? Because I’m not a citizen of those states, and because of that, I don’t feel comfortable influencing their elections. I figure if I don’t like foreigners influencing US elections all the time, I shouldn’t influence Californians, Arizonans, Floridians, or any other state on any other issue they want to bring up for their citizens to vote on.
Now that the vote’s over, I’m still not going to take sides. Honestly, I don’t really know where I stand, simply because I don’t know enough about all the legal implications of either side to really make up my mind yet on the whole gay marriage thing. But, I do want to say something.

Guys, just stop with the threats and violence already!

The whole point of democracy is that people have the right to vote on issues that are important to them. Those issues are then decided on by the majority. Even if you don’t like the way the majority decides, that’s just tough beans, because hey, that’s democracy. Just look at the presidential election – I sure as hell didn’t like the outcome, but am I about to go burn down Obama supporters’ houses or places of worship? Am I about to threaten violence to anyone who dares have an Obama sign in their front yard? Hell no! Because that’s democracy – sometimes you win, sometimes you don’t. Deal with it! That’s called being an adult. That’s called being an American!
Of course, I’m well within my right to continue to disagree with the majority. As do all of you who are angry about the way your elections on the gay marriage amendments turned out. By all means, continue the discussion, try to prove your point. But do not try to prove your point through violence. We must rely on ideas, not threats! If you continue these violent outbursts and refuse to acknowledge the democratic results of this election, you’re only further damaging your cause. You say you’re fighting hatred & bigotry, yet you’re showing hatred, bigotry – and worse – violence? What sense does that make? Who, pray tell, are you going to win over with tactics such as these? You’re only alienating those you wish to convince, further damaging your cause, AND not to mention, damaging our democratic process.

So, I implore you, grow up! Deal with it! Move on! Keep fighting what you believe to be the good fight, but do it decently, within the law, and with respect for the democratic process and will of the people. Above all else, we must not lose respect for the will of the people, we must not lose respect for the democratic process. On more than one occasion now in California, the people have consistently voted against gay marriage, yet their votes are continually repudiated by a court wishing to legislate from the bench. Don’t you realize this is such a dangerous proposition?! This undermines our democracy! This undermines the people’s right to run their own government! This undermines everything we believe in; that whole “We the people” thing, that’s what you’re attacking right now. So stop it! Accept this vote, let the will of the people stand, even if you don’t like it. Then continue your right to exercise your freedom of speech, try to win people over to your side through words and example, not through violence and intimidation. Because that’s simply not the democratic way, and it sure as hell isn’t the American way.

Stop the violence! Stop the bigotry & hatred, or you’re never going to stop the bigotry & hatred that you claim to be fighting. Lead by example, then maybe you’ll get somewhere.

To those who are being targeted and had violence threatened against them for their votes, do not let them discourage you! Do not bend to their thuggery and intimidation. I know it must be hard, I know it must be terrible. In fact, I have several friends in California who are in the thick of it right now. One of my close friends lives near to the Mormon Temple in Los Angeles. He has witnessed the protests up close and personal, and has seen close friends attacked by the throngs of protesters. I know this can be terrifying and disheartening, but do not lose hope and do not lose heart. You had your right to vote however you chose. The minute you’re frightening out of what you believe in is the minute we lose our democracy. By all means, engage in discussions with those of differing opinions. Learn from them, learn about their point of view, think carefully about all sides of these important issues. But you cannot let such horrific tactics sway your resolve. That’s not America. Or at least, it shouldn’t be.
Stay strong and know that there are people out here in the rest of the country who are standing with you. Not necessarily because we agree with how you voted, but because we believe in your right to vote, your right to determine the direction of your government. You exercised that right and are being attacked for it. Shame on those who are attacking you, shame on their ignorance, hatred, and violent natures. Convictions must win out over intimidation; democracy must triumph over chaos. It absolutely must. If you bend to their threats, if you let fear sway your heart, we will surely be lost.

This is wrong on so many levels. Watch it all the way to the end.

I’ve never been a conspiracy theorist. I’ve never worn a tinfoil hat, never had any desire to. But this is scary as hell. You just saw a man assaulted and arrested by the Philadelphia police department for daring to wear a McCain-Palin t-shirt after the election. He did not do anything wrong, did not violate any laws; he was simply exercising his right to freedom of speech. I sure as hell hope this man sues for his rights being trampled on.
Welcome to the age of Obama.

P.s. A friend reminded me, I should probably point out that I do not agree with the anti-Israel, anti-establishment message at the end of the video. It’s just the actual arrest shown in the video that ticks me off.
