“The interaction between government and business will change forever. In a reset economy, the government will be a regulator; and also an industry policy champion, a financier, and a key partner.”
- Jeffrey Immelt, February 6, 2009

GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt recently announced that his company will be spending $6 billion dollars over the next 6 years on a project called ‘Healthymagination’ in Washington, DC. Together with Intel, GE will be developing software to monitor health data and health records. Their goal? To sell this software to the government, for use in Obama’s plan to develop an entire Federal body whose entire mission is to monitor every citizen’s health records, every order a doctor writes for those citizens, for the purpose of determining whether those doctor’s orders are “fiscally responsible”. Meaning, a government bureaucrat will have the authority to rescind your doctor’s order, if that bureaucrat decides that either you can’t afford – or you flat out just don’t deserve – whatever procedure it is your doctor deems necessary.
That isn’t just socialized medicine, it’s a medical dictatorship, where the government decides what you can and cannot spend your own money on when it comes to you, your body, and your health. And GE’s right there with the White House, developing software to make this plan a reality.

Oh, and Tom Daschle, the man who couldn’t become the head of the HHS, he’s on the ‘Healthymagination’ advisory board.

Beyond the implications this plan and ‘Healthymagination’ could have on your daily life, there’s another side to this story which is deeply concerning. Part of the plan for this project includes a massive propaganda campaign. According to a statement given to the Dallas Morning News by GE, all aspects of NBC Universal – including NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, all of it – will create 5,000 separate news pieces on this ‘Healthymagination’ project. Every news program on every NBC network will be trumpeting this project amidst their supposedly ‘unbiased’ news coverage, acting as if they’re objective journalists here to tell you all the positive, wonderful things ‘Healthymagination’ and socialized medicine will do for this country. They’ll be bringing this propaganda straight into your home, presenting it as news, all for the sake of further tying GE and our federal government together into an unholy union.

According to most Democrats I know, they define ‘fascism’ as a combination of government and big business. Although that’s not historically accurate, it leads me to wonder: if that’s truly what they believe fascism to be, where are all the good Democrats? Why aren’t they standing up against this? They rightly stood up against Bush when he was presiding over the same thing. In fact, under the Bush administration, GE Capital received $139 billion directly from the FDIC, despite the fact that GE is not a bank. The FDIC supposedly doesn’t have the authority to hand out such huge wads of cash to entities outside of their regulatory authority of the banking industry. Yet they got away with it, and no one’s bothered to ask how or why.
This corruption has been going on for a very, very long time and under Obama it hasn’t changed. It’s only gotten much, much worse. Now Jeffrey Immelt is serving on Obama’s financial advisory committee. He’s been party to the majority of meetings regarding the implementation of the government’s radical healthcare plan, despite the obvious conflict of interest, since his company stands to gain great wealth by selling the government all their healthcare products. In fact, some claim that GE’s already been promised contracts should this healthcare plan come into effect.

So where are all the good Democrats? They were angry about the no-bid Haliburton contracts, so why aren’t they just as angry about all the sweet no-bid deals GE is getting with regard to energy policy, healthcare policy, and so on? They’re making a helluva lot more money in a helluva lot more industries than Haliburton ever did, so why aren’t the Democrats making a fuss? Why aren’t they standing up now?
Or is the same behavior alright when their guy is the one doing it? Sorry, it’s still the same country, it’s still the same problem, it’ll still have the same horrible, destructive consequences, no matter which party is responsible for it. It’s still wrong. So why aren’t you standing up now?

Everything GE has been doing to wiggle their dirty little fingers into our federal government is wrong and it must be stopped. I, for one, recommend that we immediately boycott as many aspects of GE as we possibly can, starting with changing the channel on our television sets away from NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, and all of their other myriad networks. If they’re going to be pushing their propaganda into my home under the guise of journalism, I’m not going to tune in. I certainly hope you won’t either.
If you’re a GE shareholder, I would strongly urge you to speak up. Do everything you can to voice your opinion and make sure the powers that be become intimately acquainted with your disgust at their behavior. If they won’t listen, then speak with your money and dump those stocks. Don’t let yourself become party to the destruction of our free market, our republic, and our freedom.

Jeffrey Immelt and GE must be stopped. It’s about damn time we raise a ruckus about this dangerous marriage of government and big business. It’s about time they got a divorce, but that simply won’t happen if we roll over and refuse to get in the way. As they always say during a wedding ceremony, if anyone has any objections to this union, let them speak now or forever hold their peace. We’ll be forever forced to hold our peace if we don’t speak up now and prevent them from stealing out freedom. So stand up and speak out, before it’s too late.

Going Out of Town

I’m heading out of town tomorrow and will be gone for at least a week, if not longer. I’m going up north for some medical treatment (no, not Canada, I’ve had enough socialized medicine for one lifetime) , so if it goes well I may end up staying longer. So we’ll see. I will be taking my laptop, so I should be able to answer emails, but I’m not sure how much time – if any – I’ll have to write new entries. So I apologize for the forthcoming gap in new NObamaness! I promise I’ll make it up to you when I get back home.

In other news, I apologize for not writing a post about the tea parties which swept the nation. Unfortunately I was unable to attend my local tea party due to my health, but I was with all of you in spirit! My congratulations to everyone who attended for keeping the tea parties peaceful, pleasant, and within the law! (Although I was a bit disappointed with Washington, DC! What were you guys thinking, throwing a box of tea bags over the White House fence?!?! As a fellow Washingtonite, I’m ashamed – unless it was a tourist who did that, you all should have known better! I’m honestly shocked no one was arrested, they certainly would have had probable cause. Such lunacy! Surely you all must realize that stunts like that aren’t doing the movement any favors – thanks so much for putting a dent in our credibility.)
Other than that, I definitely have a post brewing in my brain over the vulgar sexual insults that certain news anchors in the MSM threw around that day (I’m looking at you, Anderson Cooper! Any respect I may have once had for you, it has been thoroughly flushed down the drain.) I thought I was to the point where nothing from the MSM could shock me anymore, but that unfortunately did. I wish the FCC would follow through on their pledge of consistency and slap NBC with a fine or two for their participation in that vulgar tirade. But yeah, like that’ll ever happen.

Back to packing for me! I’ll see you all in a week! In the mean time, everyone keep up the great work and hopefully I’ll be well enough to see you at the next tea party!

I don’t know anything about that guy, but I’d say he did a pretty darn good job of summing up “political correctness”, the ‘Fairness Doctrine’, and pretty much all the other Leftist attempts to get their way, no matter what the people or their laws have to say about it. Not all individual leftists, mind you, but the movement as a whole and where it’s heading today? Definitely.
So do me a favor, won’t you? Don’t shut up.

CNN’s Bill Schneider: Totally Clueless or Totally Lying?

I want to thank my good friend Joey for sending this interesting little tid-bit to me. I’m going to show you two different media articles and I want you to tell me if you detect any media bias whatsoever. You might have to look carefully, you might not recognize it right away, but please, take a look, evaluate this very thoughtfully, and tell me if any sort of hidden agenda jumps out at you, okay?

Exhibit A: CNN’s Political Ticker is a sort of twitter for CNN journalists. I present Bill Schneider’s Political Ticker entry from 8:19PM on March 24, 2009, the night of President Obama’s press conference. It was posted while Bill Schneider was attending the very press conference he’s referring to, so yes, he was in the same exact room.
Click here to see Exhibit A.

Exhibit B: An article from Fox News. If you’re skeptical of Fox News, don’t worry, I’m not asking you trust what they wrote. Check it out, it’ll all make sense and you won’t have any doubts, I promise. Just see if what you see there jives with what Mr. Schneider had to say about his own experience at the press conference.
Click here to see Exhibit B.

Did you catch the disparity? Click “More” for my conclusions, because I just don’t want to spoil the surprise if you haven’t already figured it out.

Today I sent a postcard to the British Embassy in Washington, DC to express my disgust at the behavior of President & Mrs. Obama during their Prime Minister’s recent visit to the White House. I meant to send this postcard earlier, but as I’m sure you’ve noticed thanks to the lack of posts lately, I haven’t been feeling so well and have been quite busy with doctors and such. But I figure, better late than never, right?
So in response to the Obama’s abominable behavior, I wanted to send my own apologies to the British people. As I’m sure you’ve heard, the Obamas were less than hospitable to our guests, the Prime Minister and his wife. If you still haven’t heard (which wouldn’t be surprising, since the MSM hasn’t even bothered to mention it), click “More” to learn about what transpired and to read the letter I sent today to the British Embassy.

Bloomberg Rips CNN Hamas Shill a New One

You have to see this clip of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg being interviewed by a total leftist Hamas shill “reporter”! I’m no fan of Bloomberg, but I think he does a remarkable job of answering this woman’s laughably idiotic and obviously slanted questions.

Listening to people like that woman from CNN, it’s easy to see just how Holocausts get started. It’s slow, it’s meandering, but when you start hearing such drastic attempts to bend over backwards to paint a nation as evil, simply for defending itself and its people from outright terrorism, you’ve got to know you’re on the eve of something truly terrible and truly wrong. When is this nation going to wake up to the antisemitism that’s running rampant throughout the Left?
I’ll have more on that later, but for now, just think about it. And remember, the last Holocaust didn’t happen overnight. It’s so easy to forget that, looking back with full 20/20 hindsight. With all the grand moments from that period of time, it’s easy to overlook the slow, simmering boil that led to the first shots being fired. But never forget, before the people of a nation could exterminate an entire race, they had to grow accustomed to the idea. People don’t become monsters overnight. First school children were taught to count tanks instead of apples in their textbooks. Humor turned from harmless to rampantly antisemitic. Whispers in back alleys turned into questions posed by national figures on the biggest stages. The biggest waterfalls begin with a single drop of water, so do atrocities begin with the smallest of wrongs.

I remind myself of this with an issue of Life magazine that I happened to find in a junk shop. It was from 1939. The US hadn’t joined the war yet, we were still on the outside looking in. At the time, we didn’t know the truth of the concentration camps, the horrors of the war in Europe. In this magazine, there’s an entire article talking about how remarkably progressive and respectable Adolf Hitler and his Nazi party are. It’s an interview with Hitler and his minions, discussing such progressive ideas as feminism, healthcare, science, religion, and eugenics (if you’re not familiar with that, please, look it up). It’s wholly congratulatory, it even goes so far as to encourage the American people to respect this “great man.” It is a brilliant piece of propaganda, sprinkled with the tiniest hints of antisemitism. It speaks of racial purity, but only in the kindest of ways. On the eve of the bloodiest of all wars, even Life magazine was singing Hitler’s praises, calling him a progressive leader worthy of emulating. It was just the very beginning of an overall attempt to familiarize the American public with a monster. You don’t welcome a monster into your home when it’s full grown and menacing. But when it’s small, minute, and disguised by obscured naivety, you open your door and welcome it inside, all the while never noticing what it is you’re nurturing at your hearth. Until it’s too late, and you’re a nation that’s bred an entire generation ready, willing, and proud, to murder in the name of what’s right, what’s good, and what’s honorable.

There has been enough of our own history to teach us how to recognize these infantile monsters, if only we’d open our eyes to see them.

Even CNN Admits (Sorta) Dems Were More Corrupt This Year

This has to be a first! CNN recently conducted a public opinion poll to determine the top three dirtiest, most corrupt, most scandalous politicians of 2008, and surprise surprise! They’re all Democrats!
Although, strangely enough, I didn’t hear about this from CNN. No, it took an affiliate of NBC in Chicago to break the news. *gasp* You mean, CNN might just be going out of their way to avoid tainting public opinion of their beloved Democrats?! Color me shocked!
So despite CNN’s bias, what did their own poll have to say about the most corrupt politicians of 2008? Let’s find out!

With 19% of the vote, former presidential candidate John Edwards is awarded the bronze medal! He admitted in August that he had cheated on his cancer-stricken wife with former campaign staffer – and certified holistic nutjob – Rielle Hunter. He’s still denying he fathered a love child with the “Being is Free” crazy chick, even though we’re pretty much entirely certain that, yeah, there’s another John Jr hanging around in a gratis love shack with the baby mama.
But perhaps more disturbing than the affair is the fact that the mainstream media took their sweet time in releasing the story. Yup, that’s right, yet again the msm bent over backwards for their beloved Democrats and did absolutely everything they possibly could to bury the story, for fear that some of the bad press might hinder Obama’s chances at the presidency. Eighteen months after the story first broke in the Enquirer (you know, that bastion of hard-hitting journalism), the msm were forced to finally open their mouths when Edwards was caught red handed sneaking out of a hotel in Beverly Hills, where he’d just met up with Rielle in an attempt to allegedly shut her up. Cause, you know, nothing says “Unbiased Journalism” like sitting on a red hot juicy story of corruption for over a year! So I’d say the MSM definitely deserves a special honorable mention for making this bronze medal all the more interesting and that much more damning.

Coming in at number two with 23% of the vote is New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, who despite pledging to take down prostitution, ended up getting down with a prostitute instead. He was forced to step down in March after being busted, yet somehow, prosecutors will not be filing criminal charges against him. Anybody else just a tad bit disappointed with that? Cause gee, last I checked, prostitution was a crime and – at least as far as I’m aware – politicians aren’t immune from prosecution for such things.

So with all that delicious corruption on both sides of the podium, who deserves the top spot? That honor has been reserved for Governor Rod Blagojevich! (big surprise) As the scandal keeps spreading like a virus from the Illinois Governor’s office, slowly creeping out and infecting more and more people throughout the Democratic party, it’s easy to see why Rod deserves such a prestigious honor. The details get juicier and juicier every day, and as more names are added to this scarlet list of dirty dems, we can all sit back and giggle as the msm continues to taint their reputations as they repeatedly bend over backwards in an effort to keep the rest of us in the dark as to just how widespread this scandal really is. Now with word of a scandal brewing around New Mexico’s Democrat Governor Bill Richardson, there may be even more Democrats to add to that list come next year!
Gee, you’d think after the whole Edwards thing the msm would realize that Joe Q. Public is just a bit smarter than they give ‘em credit for? Naah, they can keep believing that we’re sheep, but by the time the next election rolls around, won’t they be surprised! They should know by now, thanks to their very own polling, that we’re at long last waking up, both to the corruption that’s running rampant in the Democratic party and the ridiculous elitist lap dogs of the Left that currently run the mainstream media. They may not have released their polling data, but sure enough, we still know about it.

Keep your eyes and ears open, people, cause more and more are waking up each and every day. :)

A Meek Reminder Against a Sea of Venom

It can often become overwhelming, listening to all the incessant screams of the pacifist Left, as they rail against every little thing, constantly casting President Bush as a Hitler-type, calling him the worst president ever, and always chiming in at every possible second trying to convince us that every single move made in the war on terror has been an unbelievable mistake. When the opposition displays such a crazed, unending, berserk desire to rip someone to shreds, I can’t help but wonder what has caused such blinding hatred, such ridiculous zealotry, that someone could lose their entire sense of reason, leaving them incapable of rationally evaluating both the bad and the good. When someone is that drastic with their hatred, so over the top with their constant clamoring, I tend to tune them out. Because if someone is completely incapable of finding anything positive at all in such a complex situation, I’m more inclined to believe their mind has been closed by a wealth of preconceived prejudices.

It seems our world has been overwhelmed by such people. So many have been so brainwashed into such behavior that it can become downright impossible to try to look at the war on terror from an unbiased, purely subjective point of view. But when our world loses its objectivity, we’re going to sink into an even bigger pit than we already find ourselves in.
Considering all of this, imagine my surprise when I came across this article from – of all places – a British newspaper. It seems to be striving to regain at least a semblance of objectivity, taking a look at the war on terror and President Bush’s place in it from a more historical perspective, removed from the rabid clamoring of the Left as it has been desperately clawing at power for eight straight years. The article is well worth a read, as it is a single meek voice of reason trying to stand up against a sea of venomous screamers.
Never the less, its words must not be taken as scripture; objectivity must never be cast aside, of course. But still, it’s at the very least a refreshingly different tone from a surprisingly different point of view.
Click here to check it out.

Considering everything that was on Obama’s side and everything that was against John McCain, it’s so important that we realize how very close this election was. Consider the following facts:

    - Obama had $650 million dollars at his disposal. McCain stuck to public financing, which limited him to $84 million. Obama outspent McCain 5:1.

    – The Mainstream Media. On the three network evening newscasts, 65% positive for Obama/Biden while coverage of McCain/Palin was 36%. Between the end of the primaries and the end of October, network news broadcast 84 stories criticizing McCain ads, but only 32% had a negative tone towards Obama. Obama appeared on over 50 magazine covers. As I showed you, he was granted 13 Time Magazine covers, compared to McCain’s 4.

    - After the primary, Obama made a mad dash for the center. Once he was the Democratic nominee, he flip-flopped his way to the center. He was a radical leftist in moderate clothing, a la the Emperor and his new clothes.

After all of that, after all the outspending, media hype, and flip-flopping, that only just gave him the victory. Yes, he won by a fair margin with the electoral college, but if you look at the vote-for-vote count, it was very, very close. Obama won by pretty much the exact same margin that Bush won by in 2004. After all of that, it only bought Obama just over 62 million votes. He had to outspend McCain 5:1, he had the media in his back pocket, he flip-flopped his way to the center, and yet even then, he couldn’t win by a landslide. He did not win as the leftist he’s been throughout his career. He did not win as the Senate’s most liberal senator. He had to win by putting on a centrist costume and outspending the Republicans.

The Democrats are calling this a revolution. I hardly think so. We Americans are the center, we are not Nancy Pelosi, we are not Harry Reid. But in the same vein, we are also not Jerry Fallwell. We are not extremists! When considering everything it took to give Obama this victory, this does not change who we are and where the majority of us sit on the political landscape.
Please do not let the Democrats sway you, do not believe them when they try to convince you that moderate and conservative politics are over and done with. We are not dead, we were simply out spent, out maneuvered, and quite frankly, overwhelmed by the sheer size, scope, and wallet of Obama’s campaign.
In short, we can no longer afford to be the silent majority. We must get organized, we must prepare ourselves, we must change the way in which we approach the political landscape. But above all else, we must not be convinced to give up our principles. They may have overwhelmed us financially, but that does not mean we give up what we believe in. That does not mean we throw in the towel and become radical leftist socialists ourselves. It just means we’re going to have to speak up, stand up for what we believe in, and fight tooth and nail for the principles we believe in and the country that we love.

This nation has just elected another Jimmy Carter. But remember, it took Jimmy Carter to bring us Ronald Reagan.
Hold fast, everybody. It’s going to be a bumpy four years, but we can hold firm, we can stay strong, and we can stand up for what we believe in. It’s time to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and keep on fighting.

CNN Makes a Fool of Itself… Again

Watch as a CNN reporter pretty much trips all over himself in astonishment when he interviews three well-spoken, intelligent, respectful African American gentlemen who are *GASP* not voting for Obama. According to CNN, these three men should not exist. I betcha it probably even crossed the reporter’s mind that they just might have been white men in disguise, or perhaps even androids.

Does anybody here seriously think that this same reporter would ever, or ever has, once asked a white voter if they ever “felt any sense of pride” in John McCain? Of course not, because white pride equals racist!
Wording like that, in a question intended to basically mean, “Wait! You’re black! You must be automatically voting for the black guy! Who the heck cares about issues? You shouldn’t! You’re black, he’s black, you two must go together, right?” Wording like that, questions like that, bug the living crap out of me. When are we going to realize that racism isn’t just about lynch mobs, Jim Crow laws, and segregation, and instead realize that racism is anything – anything – that keeps us from seeing a person as a person, equal with any other person, regardless of their race, nationality, or creed.
By all means, ask them how they feel knowing that, in the context of history, it must feel wonderful to know that in this country, an African American man (or in this case, a half-African American man) can actually become a front-runner in an American presidential election. That would be fine, that would be pertinent. But to say it in such a way that it reeks of absolute astonishment that an African American can’t think for themselves and see beyond racial ties, that’s racist in and of itself.
Yet another reason why I no longer watch CNN. Of course, the minute they got rid of Chuck Roberts and Lynn Russell, replacing them with soap opera stars and models, that was kind of my first clue that they were circling the drain, fast.
