Is Anyone Going to Listen Now That It’s Been Said?

As quoted in an interview with the New York Times (you know, that bastion of right-wing conservatism), here’s what Ruth Bader Ginsburg had to say about the landmark abortion case, Roe v. Wade:

“Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.”
- Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, New York Times

Wow. All I can say is, wow. It’s astonishing to me that someone finally had the nerve to actually say in all honesty the real reason behind the founding of most abortion rights groups. But the mere fact that Ginsburg is showing any semblance of support for such reasons, that’s truly frightening.
What were those reasons? One need look no further than Margaret Sanger and the organization she began, Planned Parenthood. Sanger has been praised by the left for ages, including Hillary Clinton who spoke of Sanger several times throughout the most recent presidential campaign. But what the Left often neglects to mention while heaping these praises upon her memory is that Sanger was a staunch believer in Eugenics, the idea that society could shape and plan the breeding of their own children so as to eliminate either unwanted genetic traits or diseases, or entire unwanted races. That’s precisely what Ginsburg is referring to in that quote, when she speaks of population control, particularly in “populations that we don’t want to have too many of.”

What are those populations that Eugenicists didn’t want to have too many of? Of course they include the handicapped, physically or mentally. But what most people tend to forget about, is that minorities were – and still are – included in the list of unwanted aspects of our population.
With that in mind, is it any surprise that although African American babies make up 20% of live births in this nation, that they account for 36% of all abortions? Furthermore, over 80% of Planned Parenthood offices are located in predominantly African American neighborhoods! Margaret Sanger spoke repeatedly and specifically that abortion would be a tool not only of controlling and limiting the African American population, but that it could be used to utterly “exterminate the Negro population.” Given that, can we really dismiss such statistics as mere coincidence? In my opinion, no.

I’m astounded that Justice Ginsburg had the nerve to actually come out and say that abortion is a form of targeted, specific population control, and that such feelings about population influenced the outcome of Roe v. Wade. Perhaps her statement will lead others to understand the true intentions of those who championed abortion in the beginning, those who made it so commonplace as it is today. Perhaps then people will better understand exactly what it is we’re dealing with and why such intentions are so terribly, terribly dangerous.

Seriously? SHE’s a Congresswoman?!

You have to see this to believe it. It’s that bad.

As if that isn’t bad enough, check out the plaque she presented to the school.

The Gradulation, written by US Rep Corrine Brown, Democrat from Florida

This is one of the saddest, most pathetic things I’ve witnessed come out of Congress in a long time – and that’s saying something. She’s seriously, seriously, a part of the US House of Representatives? Seriously!? Her vote in that respected body actually has a sway over each and every one of our lives?
And yet she can’t even manage to form a proper sentence? She can’t even congratulate someone without pulling made up words out of her butt? What in the hell is she doing in that esteemed chamber?!
What the hell is this country coming to? Not only that so many people come out of our schools this illiterate, but that they somehow manage to become representatives in Congress?! Is this seriously what the likes of Abraham Lincoln, Medgar Evers and Martin Luther King, Jr fought so hard – and died – for? Are representatives like her really going to bring us closer together racially? Is she really the best example of African American success this nation could produce?
Is she really the type of person we should be electing as a representative of ourselves and our communities? I sure as hell hope not, because that’s just pathetic. If we can’t expect more than this from our representatives, if we can’t even expect them to have a basic, elemental grasp on the English language, how could we possibly expect anything from our system of government?

You know, this might be funny, if it weren’t for the fact that she’s voting on vitally important legislation that affects the future of our nation. That kind of takes all the fun out of it, doesn’t it?
Hehe, although, it is kind of funny that she’s part of the Democratic party, which has been so thoroughly savaging President Bush for the past 8 years for mispronouncing “nuclear” (in the exact same manner that President Kennedy did, by the way.) That is at least worth a chuckle. :)

Congratulations, Ms. Brown, for making a complete and utter fool out of yourself.

First Thoughts on The Tonight Show

I’m just now watching Obama’s appearance on last night’s Tonight Show – thank you, Tivo! – and I just had to pause it. I couldn’t go any further without commenting on a few things, so this won’t be a full analysis, this is just me having to sound off now before I forget my initial reaction.

First off, here’s a direct quote I just transcribed from Obama. I’ll try to get an exact video clip of this line later on.

“”No, no, no, but, no, th-th-th-th… This is the point that I made, I think two days ago, when somebody asked, ‘Well, do you have confidence in Tim Geithner?’ I said, ‘Look, I’m the President. So ih-eh-uh, ultimately, all of this stuff is my responsibility. If I’m not, uh, giving him the tools that he needs, uh, to make sure that we’re moving this forward, then people need to look at me.”
- Barack Obama, Tonight Show with Jay Leno, 03-19-09, roughly 35-40 minutes into the broadcast.

Um, Mr. President, if it’s your responsibility to get Tim Geithner all the tools he needs to solve what you and your administration repeatedly refer to as the greatest financial and economic disaster to strike this country since the Great Depression, then why is it that you have time to go on a late night chat show, and yet you haven’t had enough time to fill the remaining 17 out of 18 presidential appointments within the Treasury Department? Tim Geithner is the only one you’ve appointed out of those 18 appointments, meaning Tim Geithner is operating without a full compliment of appointees on his staff, to assist him with this massive crisis.
Wouldn’t you say that’s a pretty big error on your part? Wouldn’t you say that’s an instance of you not giving Tim Geithner the “tools that he needs to make sure we’re moving forward”? Don’t you think filling those 17 appointments should be a higher priority than chatting it up with Jay Leno?
Hey, Mr. Obama, you asked us to look at you, you said this was your responsibility. We’re looking at you now.

Secondly, I will say that I was impressed with one question in particular that Jay Leno addressed to Obama. When he asked specifically about his concerns over Congress targeting specific individuals with 90% taxation legislation, did you notice that Obama didn’t even answer the question? He completely deflected and didn’t even come close to addressing Leno’s very legitimate concerns!
But then again, I guess you wouldn’t want to answer that question either, if you were presiding over a Congress that just passed legislation which violated the Constitution not just once, but twice.
Yet again, Mr. Obama, I’m looking at you. This is your responsibility, and you can’t even answer a drastically important question such as the one Jay Leno presented to you?
I sincerely hope I wasn’t the only one who picked up on that deflection, because that’s a very, very, very important question that we should all be demanding a satisfactory answer to.

Lastly, didn’t you just love how in every single answer, the only solution Obama presented to both the economic crisis AND the big AIG mess, was more regulation and oversight? That’s pretty funny, coming from the golden boy of the same Democratic party who repeatedly rejected Republican attempts at providing more regulation and oversight before this crisis even erupted, in an effort to put on the brakes before we hit an absolute catastrophe. Wasn’t it the Democrats who said that Fannie and Freddie were just fine, and that Republicans were doing nothing more than being evil “fear-mongers” for suggesting that a major global financial crisis was on the horizon and that we’d better act now through regulation and oversight?
Kinda funny that Obama thinks we should trust those very same Democrats to effectively implement that regulation and oversight now that the very same crisis the Republicans predicted has hit us at full force, that crisis the Democrats said didn’t exist and was nothing more than a Republican fantasy. But not only did the Democrats fail in that regard, but they also failed to put in any regulation and oversight into the massive stimulus bills they passed which led to this big AIG mess that Obama was commenting on.
Hmm, that’s at least two strikes, if not more. How many strikes will we allow the Democrats before we realize, hey, they have absolutely no track record of success and they flat out suck at implementing any kind of effective regulation and oversight, like the kind Obama was touting on Jay Leno?

Alright, now to hit play and finish the rest of it. I swear, I feel like pulling my hair out, this is so frustrating to listen to. So before my brain just fizzles out, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the whole debacle, so please, comment away and let me know what you think!

Oh, and by the way, just to add my voice to the chorus – let’s impeach Chris Dodd, shall we? :)

Secret Meetings With Hamas? Hooray for Change!

According to Ahmad Yousuf, a political advisor to the leader of the terrorist Islamic group Hamas, Barack Obama’s campaign held secret meetings with Hamas during the Presidential race. But Obama’s representatives made sure to let Hamas know to keep quiet about these meetings, for fear that the American people might not like this so much and it might harm his electoral prospects.
Hmm, ya think?!

Check out this video of Democratic Congressman Jim Moran.

Oh, those silly Republicans, believing in a free market system! Will they ever learn? That’s never worked before! That’s not why we have been the world’s leading super power for so long, nooooo! Stupid Republicans!

Holy freaking crap!!! Does it need to get any clearer that the Democrats have gone off the radical deep end?! Is this seriously what the average Democrat believes in!? Have we all gone completely and utterly mental and I somehow didn’t get the memo!?!?!

Eeeeesh! Yes, Congressman Moran, free markets have never ever worked, yet redistribution of wealth has never ever failed. I think you’ve got that a little bit bass-ackwards, sir. So according to you, even though someone has worked really, really hard for a very long period of time, has employed lots and lots of people, and has earned lots and lots of money, they are not entitled to the fruits of their labor? Because, in your twisted mind, if someone is smart enough to earn money, they aren’t smart enough to spend it? Yet somehow, a politician is smart enough to do it for them? Seriously?

I’ll say it again, holy freaking crap, the Democrats have all gone completely ass backwards. I’m sorry, I know that isn’t very Independent-minded of me, but seriously! Look at that video! It’s INSANE! Since when did we all become communists? Because really, this goes well beyond socialism. This is the government deciding what you own and what you don’t, no matter how hard you worked for it. That is communism.
Ugh. It continually baffles me how these Marxist idiots keep getting away with this absolute crap.

Talk About a Low Blow!

During his first post-election press conference, Obama made an off-the-cuff remark about Nancy Reagan, further proving that he’s an absolute incompetent imbecile without his teleprompter.

When asked about consulting with former Presidents, Obama had this to say: “In terms of speaking to former presidents, I’ve spoken to all of them that are living. Obviously, President Clinton — I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about, you know, doing any séances.”

Eesh, and I thought the Democrat’s whole thing about electing one of their own is that we’d actually have an eloquent, intelligent, and “sensitive” President for a change. Whoops, seems like they’ve already blown that one, he isn’t even President yet. Hell, he couldn’t even get through his very first press conference as President-Elect. Wow, this is gonna be fun…

For what it’s worth, he did apologize to Nancy Reagan shortly thereafter. But come on, talk about a low blow. For the umpti-umpth time, he’s let something else slip that he shouldn’t have once he goes off script.

The School’s Response to Biased Teacher Video

Thanks to my friend at POW in CA, I have additional information for you regarding the video I posted previously under the headline, “Your Taxes at Work”. The teacher in the video is Ms Diantha Harris, who is employed at Mary McArthur Elementary School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. For those of you not familiar with the military, that school is located near Fort Bragg.
As the daughter of a military veteran, I’m completely outraged at her treatment of that poor little girl. I know at least a portion of the fears that little girl must be going through, as I saw my father being sent off on military duty many, many times as a young child. To have a teacher ream into her like that, it’s reprehensible. There is no excuse for that behavior, none whatsoever. In my opinion, no amount of re-training can ever make up for what she’s done in this video. But what makes this worse, is she knew she was being video taped. What has she done outside the scope of a camera? What else have these poor children been subjected to under her tutelage?

Thankfully the school superintendent is aware of the situation, has already begun an investigation, and has pledged to take “appropriate action.” I hope that “appropriate action” is having that woman fired. No other consequence would satisfy the scope of her offense.

If you’d like to see what the superintendent had to say, click here. I’ll also be hosting a copy of the response, just for the sake of archiving it. To see it, click “more”.

Reagan On Socialized Medicine

Considering the post I wrote earlier today, I was pleased when I stumbled across this great recording of a speech Ronald Reagan delivered in 1961 regarding socialized medicine. Everything he said then is just as pertinent today. It’s amazing to me how little we have learned in such a span of time. When will we realize that socialized medicine has not worked, does not work, and will never work? Only when we finally realize this will we ever be able to concentrate on finding a real solution to the real problem.

Damn, I miss that man.

“Price Signals” to “Change Behavior”

I sincerely hope I don’t need to write a long essay to explain why this is scary as hell.

Government controlling the free market to effect change amongst the masses. That is the definition of socialism. Does it need to get any more apparent before we wake up and realize who this man is and what he intends to do to us?

The bottom line is, if you grant government the power to send price signals to modify your behavior, even just in this regard, you are granting them the power to use those same surrendered rights to modify other aspects of your behavior. It isn’t that big of a leap from the government modifying how much you pay for electricity, to how much you pay to have a child, how much you pay to eat, how much you pay to live in a home, and so on.
That is precisely how the utopia that socialism promises turns into the tyranny that socialism has always guaranteed throughout history. Every time you give up a right, even if that right seems small, that’s one less way in which you control and guide your own life. It’s one more inch you hand over to the government, one more inch of that noose around your neck that they’re allowed to cinch up at their pleasure. How long will it be before you realize it’s getting so tight you won’t be able to breathe on your own?
Your dependence on the government is his key to ultimate power. That is why socialism is so wrong, that is why it has always dissolved into absolute oppression. That is why the utopia they promise you is nothing but false hope. The only way to ensure absolute liberty and freedom is to ensure the self reliance of the people. That is why the further we travel along the road to socialism, the harder it will be for us to turn around. We have a chance now to say no to government dependence, please take that opportunity before it is too late.

How many times will he need to say “redistribute wealth” and “Marxist” before we actually realize the truth behind the myth he has created around himself?
