Sitting here in my bed, late at night, checking my email one last time on my laptop before going off to sleep, I was hit by quite a thought.
Remember back during the election, when people started bringing up concerns about Barack Obama’s ties to former Weather Underground leader, Bill Ayers? Remember how they told us we were all terribly silly for calling Bill Ayers a terrorist, despite the fact that he bombed the Pentagon & several police buildings, incited violence across the country, and was responsible for the deaths of multiple innocent people? Remember that?

Oh no, he’s not a terrorist at all! Besides, those activities were years and years ago, practically eons ago! We’re sure in his heart of hearts he’s grown as an individual since then and has fully repented! (Never mind, of course, the fact that he said otherwise, but what would he know? We’re sure he just had a difficult childhood, so it’s not his fault anyway even if he did do those things, right?)

So according to the people who said such things, we were utterly silly fear-mongers for daring to call Bill Ayers a terrorist. But now these same people think they can get away with calling average Americans terrorists, thugs & mobsters, comparing them to Timothy McVeigh, and accusing them of dealing in Nazi paraphernalia, purely because they dare to show up to Town Hall meetings, to ask tough questions of their representatives, and finally voice their passionate frustrations about proposed health care reform and the out of control deficit spending going on in Washington?

Yeah, that’s fair. :?

Of course, not that we should be surprised anymore by the irony and outright hypocrisy of partisan politics these days, especially when it concerns the likes of Nancy Pelosi. :x

My brother (the non-liberal one) sent me this and it was just too funny not to post. Enjoy!

Oh boy! I sure can’t wait to put one in my garage next to my cardboard box house! :)

Ewwwwww!

My friend Joey showed this picture to me earlier today and we decided it just had to be lol’d up. Here you go, but be prepared, you might want to keep an airsickness bag on hand.

Rahm Emanuel whispers sweet Marxist nothings into Nancy Pelosi's ear

Isn’t that just about the nastiest thing you’ve ever seen? Bleugh! What were they even doing?! Was he whispering sweet Marxist nothings into her ear or something? Teehee.
Of course, while I was trying to track that photo down again, hours after Joey showed it to me so I could post it here, I came across another one. Apparently this is a habit of Ms Pelosi’s. Check it out.

Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry gettin' it on

I’m SO tempted to start a little captioning contest for these. Hmm, maybe we could even make it a regular thing. Whaddya think? Have any ideas for other clever captions for either of these photos? If so, post ‘em below! If I like them, I’ll edit the photos to put your captions on them, then post them on the blog (with credit going straight to you, of course!) If it turns out to be popular, maybe we can do it again some time. Hey, maybe I can call it LOLbama! :)
Put your thinkin’ caps on, it’s time to come up with some captions!

I’m SO tempted to make this NO-Pelosi too…

From Tom Gross’ media blog over at National Review:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s home district includes San Francisco.

Star-Kist Tuna’s headquarters are in San Francisco, Pelosi’s home district.

Star-Kist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.

Star-Kist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75 percent of the Samoan workforce.

Paul Pelosi, Nancy’s husband, owns $17 million dollars of Star-Kist stock.

In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage. This would make Del Monte products less expensive than their competition’s.

Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an “economic development credit in American Samoa.”

Pelosi has called the Bush administration “corrupt.”

She should know.

I lost pretty much any shred of respect I had left for Nancy Pelosi after her “waaaa, we didn’t do it, it’s all their fault!” speech on the floor of the Senate about the housing crisis. That’s the spirit of “bipartisanship” I’m expecting from the White House over the next four years. Why? Because that’s all the bipartisanship I’ve seen them these clowns.
I swear, the Democratic Party would be so much better off if they could just boot Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid right out the door. With Howard Dean in particular, I’ve despised that man ever since I went to a rally of his while he was still running for the presidency in 2004. My liberal brother made me go, in an attempt to “open my mind to other possibilities”. The only possibility I discovered there was that, wow, there really are people in this country who love socialism, yet have never seen the effects of socialism first-hand. I hate to say it so bluntly, but seriously, that rally was scary as hell. I had to sit there in silence while Howard Dean literally railed against this country. One day I’ll write a post explaining everything that happened that day, cause seriously, most people would love to know what the chairman of the DNC had to say when speaking to a crowd of the fully converted, plus one little outsider: me. :)
